Powerless at the Hands of the Enemy (Day 11 Prompt)

(Sorry its a day late!)

Black Plasma crashed to the ground, rubble flying everywhere. “What the hell?!?” he looked down at his hands. Normally Black Plasma would have been protected from the fall by his plasma armour, but upon inspection, there was no armour to be found.
His enemy, the alien warlord Genesis, hovered in the air above him. “What’s the matter little human?” it snarled as it descended from the sky. “Run out of steam?”
Black Plasma threw his arms out in front of him to launch his plasma missiles at the alien. Nothing happened. He looked at his hands again and reiterated: “What the hell?!?”
Genesis laughed. “Does this happen often?” all 6 foot of Genesis stomped over to where Black Plasma sat on his knees. He picked him up by the scruff of the neck like a fog and held him up to its face. Black Plasma stared into all six of its ruby eyes, its breath pungent, like a fish that’s passed its sell-by date.

A few blocks away there was an explosion and a woman went soaring through the air and landed a couple of feet away from where Genesis and Black Plasma were. “Lady-Lightning!” Black Plasma yelled.
Another figure soared through the air and landed gracefully beside Genesis. “Ah, my dear brother! How are you Nemesis?”
“I’m doing very well, thank-you!” the alien greeted him.
“These puny earthlings aren’t much of a fight, are they?” Genesis growled, throwing Black Plasma to the ground. “This one has run out of steam.”

“Didn’t you get the battle plan, brother?” Nemesis asked.
“No, why?”
Nemesis reached into the pocket of his over coat and took out a device. “These. You have one too. They’re nullifiers.”
Genesis reached into his pocket and took out his. “Really?”
“Yes. They nullify anything the little ants have to throw at us.” the alien grinned. “Whatever power they had over us is useless.”
“So, they’re powerless then?” Genesis asked. Nemesis nodded.

“Let’s end them quickly then , shall we?” the two brother aliens took out their alien weapons and aimed them at Black Plasma and Lady Lightning’s head.

“Set it to disintegrate!”
