The Key to Your Essential Dreaming

Ever woken up in the morning and wondered what you dreamed about? Ever gone to bed in the hopes of having an awesome dream only to awaken the next day utterly disappointed?

Well wonder and hope no more, your answer is here!

Whilst perusing through a magazine which accompanied my Sunday paper, I stumbled across an article which answers the above questions.

To avoid copyright and legal infringements alongside many other things, procrastination being one of them, I will simply give you the answer as opposed to quoting from the article.

It seems that a study was done where volunteers opted to eat cheese before going to bed. Of the 200 participants, 67% remembered their dreams and none recorded experiencing nightmares. According to the article, cheese has something called tryptophan which is an amino acid which is used as a sleep aid, which helps us remember our dreams when we visit the land of nod.

The article ends with an insight to those who do wish to have nightmares. Simply ad some alcohol to the equation to trigger your night of gloom.

Alcohol + Cheese + Bedtime = Nightmares!

  1. I love cheese and I love trying to remember my dreams (well not the bad ones!) I’ll have a nibble of cheese tonight I think. Thanks Dean.

  2. I’ll stick with the nightmares, lol 🙂

  3. Reblogged this on Dean'z Doodlez and commented:
My words on the myth of Cheese before bed and nightmares! 🙂

  4. Interesting! I dream every single night and I can recall them in vivid detail every single morning and I rarely eat cheese and definitely never before bed. Good job they didn’t include me in the study! 🙂

  5. I agree with this. It gives me another excuse to eat cheese.

  6. I can eat cheese anytime. Hm. Now it’s good for a dream experiment? I’m in!

Penny for your thoughts (we won't resell them)
