Summer Ends, September Begins (Prompt)

The Beginning of September

Here it is,

The beginning of September.

All that remains,

One last dying ember.

We’ve had a good run,

and we had good fun.

Now all we can do

Is but remember,

Because here it is:

The Beginning of September

The End of Summer

Summer: Your time is nigh,
It’s time to come off your high.

We had a good run,
New friends, laughter and fun.

And now its time to say ‘Good-Bye’!

  1. Ha Ha, and yes it was fun. p.s. did you mean but not bus;)

  2. This Ember is not dying! 😉

Really good Dean, well done! 🙂

  3. And it can take its humidity with it. Tired of sweating in the shade. 🙂

  4. I love it. We have just come in to Spring here in NZ so I’m looking forward to some fun in the sun.

  5. Poor summer must be ready to hide after all the yearning around here. Good reading. I’m looking forward to cooler nights and the smell of fall leaves.
