September 1st Weekly prompt

Where did summer go? This week’s Weekly Prompt .

Usually, as a stay-at-home mom, summer holidays mean my job is about to become full-time and then some. But this year was a little different for me. I had some time off, allowing me to get away to do some research on my novel, to write, and to relax.

I stayed for four days in the beautiful, haunted Bed and Breakfast which inspired the setting of my novel.

Hochelaga Inn

And I managed to get away to a rented cottage for a night, where I was able to simply relax – something that my busy mind rarely allows me to do at home, even when the kids aren’t around.

For the first time in many years, I am indeed left wondering, where did the summer go? Oh yes, and also, where did the money go?

  1. *sigh* isn’t that always the case? Where did the money go?

  2. That money question pains me every day.

  3. I’ve never (well not too often) asked to be independently wealthy. I only want to be able to quit work, travel, see the world and live in a lifestyle to which I could become accustomed.

  4. I am more enchanted by the inspiration for your novel setting. Money comes and goes.

  5. A bad poem for you:
We missed you and are glad you’re back
Hope you now feel more relacked.

  6. Nice post. Money, money ,money. Wouldn’t it be nice to have too much? Nice thing about being part of WP is none of us have too much.

  7. I’m so glad you were able to get away a bit, Linda. That does make all the difference in the world – sometimes…That bed and breakfast sounds interesting!

Penny for your thoughts (we won't resell them)
