From That Ruined Space (A Poem)

He looks upon what is
to him
a barren
ruined space
of years
where just around the corner
did everyone
he loved exist until
she pulls him close
to her.
She rubs her nose
against his
and they smile.
She loves him
for all he feels
he did not accomplish.
He loves her
for seeing what he did.

  1. Amazing photo and wording! I could sit and look at this image all day.

  2. Simply precious. Reminds me of my father.

  3. This is a wonderfully warm poem, Ellespeth. Well done. 🙂
