Okkay! So…we’re done with the introductions. Let’s jump into the poem-story and meet our protagonist…a weary old man whose lived his life…dragging himself along…

That day, he woke up

no dream had he seen

and yet…when his feet landed upon the floor cold

a dream…an aim he remembered

which had been;

He looked out of the window pane

and saw the sky bleak

the trees morbid and dreary

casting no shadows;

He opened the window

and heaved a sigh

as he let the wind pass by,

and as he closed his eyes

he felt the breeze

oh! How it ruffled his hair…gray…dry!

And he saw, naught

But himself

when he closed his eyes-

himself, but a different he

not old, not weary, nor lost or dreary,

but a man…strong…daring!

He opened his eyes…

a music was playing

between the rustling leaves

and he let his mind float by

into his mother’s lullabies.

To be continued…
