Give up?

Trials weigh as rock
Rough hewn and heavy

But trials help us grow
Even if there are too many

Trials drain our fire
And curb the thirst
A new trek for life
Need a step be taken first

Like a desert flower beheld
Pushing thru rocks and trial
Opening it’s white face and waves
To give the sun a smile

Don’t give up, this arid flora has scoffed at doom
I’ve pushed thru rocks and trials it shyly smiles
To kiss the sky with bloom

  1. Learning a lesson from a defiant flower. Interesting and very well-written.

  2. This is wonderful!
