Weekly Prompt – One Day – Dreams

Nighttime magic
Daytime hopefulness
Giving life to desire
Morphing real life into hope
Brilliant splendid expectations
Creating wonder and mystery
Dreams that one day will manifest in truth
But nightmares strike dissonant chords in dreams
Wreaking havoc in sleep relations
Chases and races all night long
Grotesque figures run rampant
Struggling to fully wake
Dreams without nightmares
Needed for peace

  1. I think it’s great, but I’m not sure what the Etheree style is.

  2. Well done. Love complex poetry

  3. I have been watching your progress with these. This one really turned out nice. It climbs, peaks/climaxes and flows down so very well.

  4. Reblogged this on Year 'Round Thanksgiving Project and commented:

A double etheree I wrote for the weekly prompt “one day” on the Community Storyboard

  5. Wow! This is fantastic, Pamela! What an unusual and complicated style…

  6. This is a fascinating form and it’s wonderful to read your poems as you meet the challenge 🙂
