Yesterday – Weekly Prompt

A little something for this weeks prompt – ‘Yesterday’

Yesterday

Yesterday we were far apart,
Separated by the ocean blue.
Distance and time a blight,
On what we wanted to do

Today we are almost together,
Not too long to go now,
But again to be divided,
By the powers that be

Tomorrow we shall be together
For all eternity,
Sharing each day, of this life,
Forever, eter-na-lly

  1. Back again with a comment. I don’t know if I said this to you before but…my husband and I met on the internet and went through a difficult time of being – at last – together. It’s difficult – very – but not impossible. Now we are married almost 13 years and snubbing our noses at those who tried to keep us apart.
This is a very sweet poem… how you have brought the past and present and future into such hopefulness. I hope the best for you and your lady love. I am here for both of u – a crazy shoulder to lean on and a forgiving ear.

    • That is really interesting. Thank you for sharing this, and your kind, supportive words. It is good to hear your experiences and that it is not impossible. Ionia and I know that we will get there in the end, but it is always great to have the support of others. Crazy shoulders are the best ones, as are forgiving ears. Thank you so much.

Penny for your thoughts (we won't resell them)
