For This Day A Grace (A Poem)

For This Day A Grace
The sky was watered down
that day
as though it and the ocean were
that day
reflecting one another
abstractly.
That day
seemed so surreal –
to see the sky
and hear the waves
fluttering feeling
hearts floating.
So soon
that day
flew away
and the moon and the stars
arranged themselves so gracefully
against the charcoal grey
so gently the way
you love me.
