Two-morrow for the prompt

Tomorrow seems so far away
so frightening and obscure
when you stand alone and cold
every shadowed step unsure

But then you find that someone
a soul to journey next to
what was once a lonely road
becomes an adventure for you

A hand to hold and guide you
a heart to mirror your own
a torchlight in the darkness
before you the path is shown

The future is never certain
mapped neither happiness nor sorrow
but two hearts are better than one
when today becomes two-morrow

  1. Beautiful. You so get my thinking. Two-morrow, I love it.

  2. I really like the Two feature of Tomorrow. Very nice indeed.

  3. Or does two-morrow become today? 🙂

  4. Gosh you write these so fast. I am such a slow duck, lol.

    ❤ This. 🙂 Also really like the Two-day 🙂

  5. Companionship is an important part of life. Well-penned. 🙂

  6. Love it, that 3rd stanza is my favourite. 🙂

  7. Love the play on the word. Two does make the path more fun. Now, I say conga line down the path!

  8. Very clever! Loved this Ionia. And the play on words – genius. 🙂

  9. I wish for you many adventures two-morrow . Two-morrow can never come two soon.

  10. 🙂 I’m getting really excited about your reunion day! We’ll have to have a huge CBS bash for it…I’m serious!
I enjoyed the way you two seemed so in sync with each other on your poetry for this prompt. Cheers!

  11. Lovely, Ionia. The play on words is playful but so so true.
