Weekly Prompt for November 17, 2013

Dewy Spider Web

For this week’s writing prompt, consider this photo and write something–a poem, a short story, an essay, a prose piece–that relates back to this photo.  It is a dewy spider web.  But you might see it differently.  Please link to this post when you submit your own.  Enjoy 🙂

  3. THE SPIDER’S WEB

    LOVING TENDRILS
    BALANCED FOR SURVIVAL
    ALWAYS ON THE PRECIPICE
    GLIMMERING IN THE MOONLIGHT
    SWAYING IN THE WIND
    LIVING ON THE EDGE
    OF FOREVER.

    SILKEN STRANDS
    FOUNDATIONS FOR A HOME
    BARRIERS TO THE UNWARY
    ENTICEMENTS TO THE UNFORTUNATE
    FEARED AND REVERED
    AVOIDED AND IMPRISONED
    A LEGACY OF SURVIVAL.

    EVER VIGILANT
    EVER BUSY
    ONE DAY, DEATH
    AND AN EMPTY HOME
    A BROKEN WEB
    SPEAKS VOLUMES
    DEWDROPS FORM
    AND FALL UNNOTICED
    TEARS UNBIDDEN.
