I was in the garden,
minding my Q’s and P’s
when suddenly a thunderous noise
brought me to my knees

I searched all around me
I didn’t see a thing
but the sound around me echoed
how it made my ears ring

I followed the garden path
the stones set just so
what was at the end
I was a bit afraid to know

I peeked around the corner
and what a sight I saw
a ten foot Gibbleflibbal
stuffing my veggies in its caw

The famous Gibbalflibbal
a vegan but nonetheless
a frightening thing to encounter
causing garden stress

That big eye peered out at me
it didn’t even blink
and when it waved those hairy arms
oh! my gosh, the stink

I did the only thing I could
the only plan that came to mind
I tossed a watermelon over the fence
the flesh, the seeds the rind

Now that Gibbalflibbal…
the neighbour’s problem, not my own
bet she regrets bragging
about the “better” veggies she had grown.

  1. Gardening revenge with a Gibbleflibbal is sweet.

  2. You can make a monster sound cute 😉

  3. Too funny. Well done!
