Conversations of Importance – A Love Poem

Conversations of Importance
I haven’t made a list
of everything about you
that I’m thankful for
however
on the window seat
there is an imperfectly preserved teddy
to whom I often whisper
all my wishes
and all my prayers.
Lists are solid
inconvenient reminders
better left unwritten.
Love is solid, too,
but better suited
to imperfections
and teddy bear ears

  1. Teddy bears have such versatile uses. Confidants, cuddlers, protectors against nightmares, tea party guests, air support if you can get on the roof, etc.

  2. Love that last sentence the most!
