1944 Germany, inside a Munitions Factory
The plant superintendent in a speech at the start of yet another agonizingly long and deadly day for slave laborers from the concentration camps:
“You must work harder and faster to help the war effort or you’ll be beaten and killed!”
Several of the enslaved workers smiled inwardly. They were already working as hard and fast as they could to help the war effort. Whenever their overseers were distracted, they put almost no propellant in the tank and artillery shells. Whenever their oppressors fired them, the shells would explode inside the weapons’ barrels or German lines. Either way, there would be fewer Nazis to slow the Allied advance and their eventual freedom.
