Like blood dripping from
an open wound
I beg of you to stop punishing me
You creep upon me so devilishly
Wiping away my courage
Leaving me desolate and in fear.

My heart aches with savaged pain
from your conformed premise.
Like a thief in the night
But you never pretended to hide.

I bared my aching soul to you
In return you kicked me away
Without regard too soon
Leaving me bound and utterly
wounded again by you.

I’m all alone…
Helpless no one to turn to,
Because I placed my bet on you
And I lost.
As always things fall apart.
But still I lust for you,
I crave you..
I’m bound to you.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

    Happy Sunday,

  5. This was simply amazing! Anyone who has been in an “on again off again” relationship with someone they love/loved can relate to the agony described in this tortured poem. Thank you for baring your soul to us Elle. You are talented beyond words and I’m so fortunate to call you friend.

  6. I have felt this way – fortunately I broke the bounds. But they are hard to rip apart. Yet, on the flip side, they are exciting and comforting.

  7. Love it! Congratulations!
